Cannon Fodder

Post by cononthebarber » Tue May 17, 2011 8:17 pm

Remember this game? It was really great! With your team of grunts (emmm, i mean highly trained operatives) you had to get your way through levels against other soldiers, tanks, sentry guns, helicopters etc...etc...completing missions as complex as "kill all enemies" or "destroy all buildings"...it was cool!

Check out your new 'member ranking' ;)

Cannon Fodder is one of those games I'd heard of but never played unfortunately. Sounds good though, shooting things, yeah!

Cannon Fodder is a great game. I've only played the Amiga version of it, but I'm sure the one for the PC is fine as well. ;) Excellent gameplay, fun graphics and very cool intro music.

YEah their is nothing about the tem "Cannon Fodder" but the at the time with Desert Storm and troops being deployed around the globe and the memory of Vietnam/Korea Cannon Fodder was funny.....to those people who are still alive. The term "Freindly fire" also applies to Cannon Fodder. Like the song said,

"Turn to your brother, it so much fun,

Kill emm ki kil kill your brother so much fun.

War never been sooo much fun "

This was back when people discovered how religious, BBQ, out-dooring Jamaican men war, and just top it off with the commercialsim of the West Indies and Colonail Powells fame, it was even more obvious, why their is a videogame called Cannon Fodder, that also has the theme of a Reggae Song.. Amy videos had Reggae music in it as well. Sad taking commercialization of a group of religious but out going people, commercial fame.

" Turn to your brother kill em with your gun".

Otherwise the game was also depressing, but as a kid it must have been fun with all the "desert storm" arcade shooters/

Those days were nice, but now it makes me want to throw up thinking about war.

Hey All!

Have you looked at OpenFodder repository Git?
https://github.com/OpenFodder/openfodder

It consists on reverse engineering of original 16bit Cannon Fodder game.
It supports PC-Dos and Amiga formats, it could be compiled both 32/64 bit.
