Pictures from a copy-party in 1990 that got busted by cops!

Post by Puni/Void » Tue Jul 03, 2012 6:38 pm

Hi guys,

I've written a short piece on a copy-party that took place in Drammen, Norway, back in 1990. It was the biggest party to be held at the time, but unfortunatly the cops came and confiscated disks and equipment.

Please have a look here if you're interested in checking out the pictures:

Today everything is so easily accessible on the Internet, but back then one really had to work hard to get hold of stuff. :)

Did any of you swap disks in the mail? :D

Interesting post, I wasn't even aware of copy parties. But was probably too young :)
We used to swap PC games with our cousins, and on the rare occasion that we made new friends that also had a PC, happy days!
Get also used to get a lot of games from PC magazines, when you could get 6 full games on a floppy disk

Makes me think about anti-privacy in todays world. Lets try and arrest a man for having a penis. This is why nobody should stop using Broadband internet. It is dirt cheap now, so why bother switch to a system that tracks you.
